These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all tutoring and admissions consulting services provided by Cantab Admissions Consulting (“we”, “our”, “us”) to students, parents/guardians, and schools (“you”). By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
We provide private tutoring, Oxbridge admissions support, and school workshops as described on our website or agreed with you in writing.
We do not guarantee admission to any university or specific grades; we provide guidance and preparation only.
We are independent providers and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge.
2. Bookings and Payment
All bookings must be confirmed in writing (email is sufficient).
Individual tutoring: Payment is due in advance of each session or block of sessions.
School workshops: Payment terms are normally 50% deposit on booking, balance due 14 days before delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment may be made by bank transfer or approved payment processor.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Individual Tutoring (students/parents)
More than 48 hours’ notice: no charge; any prepaid fees will be credited or refunded.
48 hours’ notice or less: the full session fee will be charged.
No-shows: charged in full.
School Workshops
More than 4 weeks’ notice: full refund of any deposit.
2–4 weeks’ notice: 50% of the agreed fee is payable.
Less than 2 weeks’ notice: 100% of the agreed fee is payable.
Rescheduling may be possible subject to availability, but cannot be guaranteed.
4. Safeguarding and Conduct
For students under 18, a parent/guardian must consent to all services.
Online sessions are recorded or monitored at our discretion for safeguarding and quality.
Tutors and students are expected to treat each other with respect. We reserve the right to withdraw services if behaviour is inappropriate.
5. Liability
We take reasonable care in delivering our services but accept no liability for academic or admissions outcomes.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
Our total liability to you is limited to the amount paid for the relevant service.
6. Intellectual Property
All lesson materials, presentations, and resources provided remain our intellectual property.
You may use them for personal study but may not reproduce, distribute, or resell them.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy (see website).
By using our services, you consent to such processing.
8. International Services
We provide services internationally. Where local laws impose additional requirements, we will comply as far as reasonably practicable.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
